By Eric L. and Cyrus C.

When Gordon was growing up, he played a lot of soccer and hoped to one day become a professional soccer player. During one game, he injured his knee. This set him back and he would not be able to have a soccer career. Gordon could have hidden in his room forever but then he became interested in food and cooking. He soon decided to become a chef.
Since he had a huge setback, he knew he needed to work hard. His hard work paid off and he became a world renowned chef. He now has several television shows such as Master Chef, Hotel Hell, Kitchen Nightmares, Hell's Kitchen, MasterChef Junior, and The F-Word. In Kitchen Nightmares and Hotel Hell he went on a tour of struggling restaurants, and hotels and worked with the owners to make them successful. One of his restaurants, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea, London, has held 3 Michelin stars since 2001 (A Michelin star is a highest rating a restaurant can achieve).
